If I take antibiotics or antivirals, should I wait before using the test? If you would like to know the effects of taking the antibiotic or anti virals on your microbiome, you can collect your sample as soon as 2 weeks after your antibiotic treatment has been completed. If not, we recommend waiting 1 month after finish your course.

Should I stop taking my medications and/or laxatives before using the test? Under no circumstance should you stop taking medications prescribed by a doctor without consent.

Does the test expire? Yes. Please reference the expiry date on your barcode sticker.

Is it okay if I can't send the sample right away? The sample can remain stable in the Collection Tube for as long as 90 days at room temperature. However, we recommend sending it in as soon as you can.
